Trollee launches first smart shopping cart in Africa with Checkers supermarkets in South Africa

Checkers, the high-end retail arm of Shoprite Group, has launched South Africa’s first smart shopping trolley, pioneering a major step towards a frictionless, technology-led in-store experience. Checkers has 597 stores across South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia. 

Trollee is called the Xpress Trolley at Checkers, and following initial testing with Home Office employees, 10 trolleys will be made available to customers at this store as well as another 10 trolleys at Checkers Constantia before rolling out to other stores.

在 Checkers，Trollee 被稱為 Xpress Trolley，在經過總部員工的初步測試後，將在該商店向顧客提供 10 輛手推車，並在 Checkers Constantia 提供另外 10 輛手推車，然後再推廣到其他商店。
